  Stacy Jo (SJ) Salan joined Waypoint Insurance Solutions, LLC and the team at Waypoint Financial Solutions, Inc. in July of 2019. SJ is a partner in the Insurance agency and serves as the Director of Insurance Services.
SJ earned her degree from the University of WI – Stevens Point, majoring in Spanish, with a minor in Economics. She began her insurance career in 1998 and obtained her state insurance license in 2000. She has worked for several insurance companies in Wisconsin, in loss control as well as home, auto and commercial insurance sales. Over time she transitioned into employee benefit insurance solutions. She has worked in various Sales Executive roles in addition to being a Broker Advocate of one company and as the Director of Account Management in Small Business sales.
With SJ’s extensive knowledge base gained in the insurance industry for the past 20 years, she and Suzanne Udoni opened Waypoint Insurance Solutions, LLC, an independent insurance agency.
SJ will work with you and the team to uncomplicate the complicated when it comes to comparing and finding insurance solutions in your life.
We are offering solutions in life, health, dental, vision, Medicare, home, auto, disability, long term care, business insurance and employee benefits. SJ doesn’t work for a specific insurance company but shops the insurance market to provide options from insurance carriers that best fit your needs.
SJ lives in Waupaca and enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and her two dogs.  In her free time, you’ll find her travelling the globe, hiking and taking in live music and sporting events. 

Tom Smith is our specialized Auto and Home Insurance executive. He is also able to assist clients with ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, motorcycles, etc. He joined Waypoint Insurance Services in July 2020. Tom is a Waupaca native and grew up on a dairy farm just north of Waupaca. He graduated from Affinity Health System’s Radiologic Science Program in 2003 and worked as an MRI technologist for 15 years in the Fox Valley.

Tom began his insurance career in 2017 when he obtained his state insurance license. What he enjoys most about his job is the opportunity to connect and build relationships with his clients. He is confident that through growing and developing client relationships, he is able to better assist them with any needs regarding insurance.

Tom currently resides in Amherst Junction with his wife, Hedy, and three children, Presley, Brigham and Jennings. He enjoys spending time with his family on the beautiful Chain O’ Lakes. If Tom looks familiar, it may be from his modeling days in the Fleet Farm catalog. We are happy to have him on board as we continue to grow the insurance business at Waypoint!

Tanya joined the Waypoint team in September 2023. She earned her degree as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in 2009 and became board certified shortly thereafter. For the next 15 years, Tanya dedicated her career to caring for patients in the healthcare field. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, she was ready for a new challenge and found her new professional home at Waypoint Financial.

Since joining Waypoint, Tanya has earned her insurance license and continues to expand her knowledge in this new chapter of her career. She serves as the front desk coordinator while also assisting insurance clients. Her background in healthcare taught her the importance of listening, building trust, and providing compassionate, personalized service—qualities she brings to every client interaction.

Tanya enjoys being part of the Waypoint team and helping clients navigate their insurance needs with confidence and care. She values the relationships she builds with clients and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending time with her husband, Craig, their children, and their nine grandchildren. Whenever she has a spare moment, you'll likely find her attending a live music event with family or friends.

Blake Stecker joined Waypoint Financial in 2026, working in Investment Services Support. He is also a licensed Life & Health Solutions Broker for Waypoint Insurance, bringing a diverse background in client relations, business management and insurance services. Authorized in lines of Life & Health, Blake previously operated as an independent insurance agent in central Wisconsin, where he built and managed his own client base throughout 2025.

A Chain O’ Lakes native, Blake was born and raised in Waupaca, where he spent more than a decade in the hospitality industry developing a strong foundation in customer service and relationship building. During that time, he traveled to seven different countries and earned a degree in Business Management from Fox Valley Technical College.

Many locals may recognize Blake from his time at The Wheelhouse, Simpson's Restaurant and The Clear Water Harbor, where he became known for his personable approach and community connections.

Outside the office, Blake enjoys a round of golf, downhill skiing, playing his guitar, and occasionally practicing the art of jiu jitsu..
